Overview
Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray is part of LMC26 Grid2, the mid-1960s grid. This sheet describes the current LMC configuration.
History
The second-generation Corvette introduced the Sting Ray name in 1963. Its new chassis featured independent rear suspension. General Motors Heritage
LMC specifications
Specifications for the current LMC configuration.
| Specification | Value |
|---|---|
| Mass (kg) | 1255 kg, excluding fuel |
| Engine and displacement | Chevrolet small-block V8, 5.4 L |
| Transmission and number of gears | 4 forward gears |
| Fuel capacity (l) | 138 L maximum; 69 L default |
| Brakes | Default balance: 72% front / 28% rear; adjustable in the garage only |
| Tyres | Default garage pressure: 170 kPa (1.70 bar) on all four tyres |
Driving advice
Default weight distribution, excluding fuel: 54% front / 46% rear. Individual gear ratios and the final drive are adjustable in the garage. Brake balance must be set in the garage.
Braking
| Current LMC braking characteristic | Driver interpretation |
|---|---|
| Nominal full-effectiveness range: 340–575 °C, front and rear | Braking effectiveness falls outside this temperature range; overheating causes fade. |
| Brake balance: 62–82% front | Adjust before driving; no onboard balance adjustment. |
These temperatures describe the simulation, not historical measurements.
Engine management and endurance
Engine
The engine wear reference is 24 hours at 6375 rpm and 110 °C oil temperature, with random variation in initial engine life. This is not a guaranteed race duration or a recommended operating speed. At constant oil temperature, an additional 170 rpm doubles wear; at constant engine speed, an additional 15 °C doubles wear. These effects combine.
The configured rev-limit reference is 8000 rpm; it is not an endurance target.
Fuel
Tank capacity is 138 L, with 69 L selected by default. Consumption in L/lap and stint duration have not been measured for this configuration.
Baseline setup
| Setting | Default | Available adjustment |
|---|---|---|
| Fuel | 69 L | 1–138 L, in 1 L steps |
| Tyre pressures, all four wheels | 170 kPa (1.70 bar) | 170–249 kPa (1.70–2.49 bar), in 1 kPa (0.01 bar) steps |
| Front brake balance | 72% | 62–82%, in 1 percentage-point steps |
| Maximum brake pressure | 90% | 80–100%, in 1 percentage-point steps |
These are default garage settings, not a circuit-specific setup.
Pit stops
Nominal stationary work durations, excluding pit-lane travel and variable crew delays.
Without repairs
| Service | Nominal time |
|---|---|
| Refuelling | Fuel added in L / 2.0 L/s + 1.9 s for the hose |
| Refuelling only, adding 50 L | 26.9 s |
| All four tyres | 16 s |
| Driver change | 11 s |
Only a complete four-tyre change is offered. Tyre pressures can be changed with a tyre change, not as a separate service.
With repairs
| Repair work | Nominal work duration |
|---|---|
| Bodywork / aerodynamic damage | 25 s |
| Suspension damage, including detached wheels | 120 s |
Repairs are performed separately from other services and extend the stop. The repair model includes a random-delay allowance of 6 s. These are work durations, not complete stop totals; selecting bodywork and suspension repairs can require both operations. Damage also adds 1 s to a driver change.
Planning the stop
Request the stop at least 25 s before arrival. A late request can add up to 6 s; the crew stands down after 240 s without arrival. Tyre changes are separate work, while refuelling and driver changes allow overlap with eligible operations. Use the in-game estimate for the selected services rather than adding every row.
Specification notes
Checked against the current LMC Grid2 development configuration on 14 September 2026, including the selected engine and upgrades. Mass excludes fuel; tyre pressures are garage settings. Power and torque are omitted pending verification of the complete configuration. No in-game performance or pit-stop measurements have been made.
